All glass manufacturers recycle glass broken during the course of factory production. Incorporating specialized screening and sorting systems, Lamberts also uses as much as 40% post-consumer glass recycled from the municipal waste stream. Combined, approximately 60% recycled content is used in the production of LINIT channel glass. Lamberts' advanced oxygen-fueled cast glass furnace is the only one of its type in Europe. The ultra-clean burning oxygen-fuel mix reduces nitrogen oxide emissions by a factor of 5 when compared to conventional air-fuel burning furnaces. Lamberts specialized cooling ponds, containing natural plants and fish, remain clean and algae free, eliminating the need for chemical additives.
